Video Gait Analysis By Physio (Sydney)
Physio takes videos & produces a report with recommendations findings.
Service Description
**See what your dog can’t tell you** Subtle changes in the way your dog moves are often the earliest signs of pain, weakness, or underlying injury. Our Video Gait Analysis service uses slow-motion footage and expert physiotherapy assessment to uncover issues that are easy to miss with the naked eye. What is Video Gait Analysis? Your dog is filmed walking, trotting & performing various movements by the Physio. Using slow-motion playback and frame-by-frame analysis, we assess many factors including: * Limb loading and weight distribution * Joint movement and symmetry * Stride length and timing * Posture, balance, and coordination * Compensatory movement patterns This allows us to detect even very minor abnormalities that may indicate discomfort, weakness, developing injury or changes of behaviour. Why choose this service? Many dogs appear to move “normally” even when they are in pain. Owners often notice vague signs like slowing down, reluctance to walk or exercise, or “just getting older” — but these can actually reflect the presence of silent pain which is usually treatable. It's ideal if your dog: * Seems stiff, slower, or less willing to walk or exercise * Is recovering from injury or surgery * Competes in agility, flyball, or other sports * Has arthritis or is entering their senior years * Has had recurring or unexplained lameness * You simply want peace of mind about their movement and wellbeing What you get During the assessment the Physio will explain what they're observing with the naked eye. Within 5 days you’ll receive a comprehensive PDF report that clearly explains: * What we found (in plain English, not jargon) * Where your dog may be experiencing pain, weakness, or compensation * The possible causes of any movement dysfunction * Practical, tailored recommendations to improve your dog’s comfort, strength, and performance This may include: * Targeted home activities * Activity and lifestyle adjustments * Advice on surfaces, equipment, or environment * Guidance on when veterinary input is recommended Benefits for you and your dog: - Early detection of problems before they become serious or costly - Clarity and reassurance — understand exactly what’s going on - A clear plan to help your dog move better and feel better - Improved performance for active or sporting dogs - Better quality of life for ageing or arthritic dogs Your dog doesn’t have to limp to be in pain. Small changes in movement can tell a big story — we help you see it.

Cancellation Policy
Home Visit Charges; For Sydney visits to addresses under approximately 30 minutes drive from Caringbah 2228, the travel cost is absorbed into your Visit fee. For visits to addresses over 30 minutes but under 60 minutes drive from Caringbah 2228, there may be an added travel charge to contribute towards the extra driving time & fuel (more time driving = less clients visited). THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH YOU BEFORE YOU BOOK (no nasty surprises!!). The Physio endeavours to arrange appointments within the same area on the same day to avoid having to ask her valued clients to pay this extra charge. However sometimes this is unavoidable. A $100 deposit is required for new clients first bookings and is deducted from the total charge at the end of the visit. The balance is payable at the Visit via bank transfer, card, PayID or cash. You may also pay the total amount in full when you pay the deposit, if you wish. If you need to change the appointment day or time, please give as much notice as possible by calling or texting 0457 877 321. We will try our best to rebook you ASAP. If you cancel the appointment with less than 24 hours to go before the appointment time, the Deposit is non-refundable (except in circumstances in which the physiotherapist judges it should be waived, for example, an emergency such as the dog is unexpectedly admitted for surgery). In the unlikely event the physiotherapist cancels your appointment, you can either transfer the Deposit to a rearranged appointment time, or you can ask for it to be refunded to you. Refunds take the number of days stated by your Bank and Square Payments Terms & Conditions and this is (annoyingly) several days and out of our control. Appointment Reminders: You'll receive an email with a reminder of your appointment approximately 48 hours prior to your appointment. Receipts: You will be emailed a receipt on payment. Pet Insurance: If your Insurance Company requires the clinical notes, they usually contact us directly to request them. If you need a particular type of invoice or receipt of payment, please just ask. Purchase of Equipment or Supplies from DogFit PT: Should you wish to purchase any equipment from the Physio at the appointment, payment will be taken at the time using the same methods. Please ask if you require a Receipt. Vet Communication: Unless you inform us otherwise, we'll update your Vet with any findings and our management plan.
