Service Description

Our qualified physiotherapist travels to your home or an agreed Meeting Point to; - assess, examine & treat your dog, - listen to your concerns, - discuss your goals, and start getting your dog back to their best life. A home visit from the Dog Physio is ideal for; - Anxious dogs who find travel & clinics stressful - Your dog has trouble getting in & out of the car - You can't take time off work to take your dog to a clinic - People for whom leaving home is tough e.g. young kids, no transport. Your pet is at their most relaxed at home which enables the Physio to get to the bottom of the issues more quickly, treat pain and give personalised advice & recommendations. Appropriate treatment options will be discussed with you based on the findings of the assessment, any medical conditions or medications your pet may have, and your Vet's opinion (if appropriate). We offer several ways to reduce pain such as laser treatment, massage, gentle manipulation, acupuncture and exercise therapy, often in combination. Once any pain is identified and under control, the Physio will commence addressing the root cause so we can prevent it recurring. This may involve closely analysing their movements, retraining muscles and improving stability of their joints. The physiotherapist will liaise with your Vet, Specialists and Behaviouralists as required to ensure a holistic & joined-up approach. What to expect: - the Physio will contact you when she's on her way to let you know an accurate arrival time. - the Physio will adapt her approach to suit your dog so that they feel at ease. If they're uncomfortable or scared, she goes at your dog's pace in order to build trust & confidence. - your dog will NOT be forced to do anything. - the Physio is gentle and does NOT aim to cause any pain. - the Physio will be honest about what would respond to treatment and give real-world advice. All you need are: - your dog's favourite treats or toy - leash & poo bags if having your session outdoors - an area your dog is safe & comfortable moving around in, preferably on a non-slip floor. Payment: $100 non-refundable deposit (deducted from the total) is required to secure booking. The balance is due on the day at the conclusion of the appointment. Payment methods: Cash / Card (Tap or PIN) / Bank Transfer / Pay over Phone Call 0457 877 321 and ask any questions you like!

Cancellation Policy

Home Visit Charges; For Sydney visits to addresses under approximately 30 minutes drive from Caringbah 2228, the travel cost is absorbed into your Visit fee. For visits to addresses over 30 minutes but under 60 minutes drive from Caringbah 2228, there may be an added travel charge to contribute towards the extra driving time & fuel (more time driving = less clients visited). THIS WILL BE DISCUSSED WITH YOU BEFORE YOU BOOK (no nasty surprises!!). The Physio endeavours to arrange appointments within the same area on the same day to avoid having to ask her valued clients to pay this extra charge. However sometimes this is unavoidable. A $100 deposit is required for new clients first bookings and is deducted from the total charge at the end of the visit. The balance is payable at the Visit via bank transfer, card, PayID or cash. You may also pay the total amount in full when you pay the deposit, if you wish. If you need to change the appointment day or time, please give as much notice as possible by calling or texting 0457 877 321. We will try our best to rebook you ASAP. If you cancel the appointment with less than 24 hours to go before the appointment time, the Deposit is non-refundable (except in circumstances in which the physiotherapist judges it should be waived, for example, an emergency such as the dog is unexpectedly admitted for surgery). In the unlikely event the physiotherapist cancels your appointment, you can either transfer the Deposit to a rearranged appointment time, or you can ask for it to be refunded to you. Refunds take the number of days stated by your Bank and Square Payments Terms & Conditions and this is (annoyingly) several days and out of our control. Appointment Reminders: You'll receive an email with a reminder of your appointment approximately 48 hours prior to your appointment. Receipts: You will be emailed a receipt on payment. Pet Insurance: If your Insurance Company requires the clinical notes, they usually contact us directly to request them. If you need a particular type of invoice or receipt of payment, please just ask. Purchase of Equipment or Supplies from DogFit PT: Should you wish to purchase any equipment from the Physio at the appointment, payment will be taken at the time using the same methods. Please ask if you require a Receipt. Vet Communication: Unless you inform us otherwise, we'll update your Vet with any findings and our management plan.
